“The biggest reward for me is seeing people immerse themselves in the music I play.”
This is what Pressure M says about his motivation for music.
Pressure M has been on the music scene since 1987, when the then new House Sound began sweeping the UK. He came onto the scene and has never looked back. It was then that he began playing for various names, including AWOL, World Dance, Powerhouse, Togetherness at the Fitness Centre (Southwark Bridge) and had an impressive three-year residency at Ministry of Sound.
Pressure M is never afraid to mix his genres, while somehow managing to maintain a smooth unfaltering House vibe. His sets are an eclectic selection of everything he loves about music; this translates into a movement of bodies and minds on the dance floor that are captivated by the sounds he delivers.
Music became a part of his personality and character and took him away from the UK shores for a few years to Ibiza, where he played Space, Pacha and El Divino and then on to Washington (USA). Ibiza became his spiritual home and after a break from the music scene Pressure M returned to the infamous Pikes in 2017, where he got married, and found himself DJing at his own wedding reception! His most recent experience in Ibiza has reignited his passion for playing to the crowd and Pressure M is back once again enjoying what he does best.
Pressure M has also spent several years on radio. He had his own show on londonunlimted.com for two years when the UK’s very first internet radio station was launched, and then spent a further five years on centreforce.com and Centreforce Sessions on Time FM.
While he still loves to play his sets, Pressure M has more recently been focusing on music production. In the past he produced under the Urban Mods name and is now creating as Blockhouse. His most recent release is a remake of Ce Ce Rogers’ “Someday” and we are looking forward to hearing more from this promising DJ/Producer.
