We were privileged to have the iconic DJ and Producer and rave pioneer, Paul Oakenfold, the man who brought Ibiza to the streets of London in 1988, the Grammy Award winning man who established Perfecto Records and, the man who has inspired countless DJ’s and producers across the globe and who has made some brilliant records (think SOUTHERN SUN) at Centreforce in February.

Later the same week, Max Fernandez hosted a show wherein Gary Asquith from the Renegade Soundwave did a live interview with Snowy where they talked about the Renegades and their music-think tracks like OZONE BREAKDOWN and Thunder. Gary also selected several tunes from the likes of Daft Punk and Leftfield to be played and discussed. Hopefully both Gary and Paul will be back on the station again in the future, that is looking ever increasingly bright for Centreforce Radio.

We also ran a Valentines Day competition and asked social media followers to tell us why they loved Centreforce. Charlotte Rabin touched our hearts and won herself a meal at the King Harold restaurant in Waltham Abbey, champagne courtesy of Essex House and a stay at the Marriott Hotel in Waltham Abbey.

Today, we learnt about the passing of Keith Flint from the Prodigy, true rave pioneers. Centreforce has worked with the Prodigy in the past and send our condolences to his family and friends. Such a massive loss.

Look out for a special Slip Back to ’89 coming later this week!
