April is Testicular Cancer awareness month and we are hosting a special 24-hour radio show and fun day to raise awareness and funds for testicular cancer.
‘Balls to Cancer’ takes place on Saturday 13th April from 12pm and will close the show on Sunday, 14 April. The 24-hour show kicks off with DJs Pasha, Master Pasha, Max Fernandez and Peter P and there will be special guests from the music industry dropping in throughout the day. DJs will be auctioning off items including a signed boxing glove by Anthony Joshua and a shirt signed by West Ham, gym memberships and more.
Centreforce DJs will be taking part in challenges to raise money throughout the day and in the run up to the event.
A family fun day will also take place from 12pm to 6pm on the day and will be packed with activities from face painting, inflatables, strongman challenges, dog training with Britannia K9 Security, giant inflatables and food and drink available.
Founder of Centreforce Radio, Andy Swallow said: “We are holding Balls to Cancer to raise awareness and funds for testicular cancer. Every year, 2,400 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer and 98% of cases are treatable. Charity and our listeners are at the heart of everything we do, and we are encouraging listeners, social media followers and residents to come along and get involved in our fun day as there will be lots going on. We’d also urging local businesses to donate or help in some way. There will be auctions on the day we have also set up a Just Giving page for people to donate.”
