I spent a lot of my time growing up in the 80’s in Sitges, Barcelona and we lived round the corner from the original Pacha club and could see the original Amnesia from our balcony. Being in Spain as a kid was a total contrast from where the family harked from in Hoxton, London. Partying was in their blood and all I could hear were kick drums all day and night. These were my first clubbing experiences in 1988 and it felt totally natural around this night life.
Winter in London was harsh but my older brother and his mates introduced me to Sunrise, Biology, Energy, Centreforce fm, Fantasy fm. This blew my mind and as the UK Rave Scene took shape with its own identity and sound I was hooked and got a couple of decks and a mixer and started buying records weekly.
I got my first radio show at the age of 16 in 1992 on Index Fm 90.3. This led on to playing on most London based Pirates through the nineties. Hardcore & Jungle on Rude, Kool, Origin and House shows on Passion, Mission, Unknown & House FM.
My first ‘proper’ gig was for the legendary Labrynth in Dalston in 1996. This led onto playing regularly for One Nation, United Dance, Best of British and Desire. Summers seasons in Spain were spent as resident in Amnesia’s L’Atlantida which gave me chance to play House & Techno in Spain (& Hardcore & Jungle in the UK).
2000 onwards I worked for Juno Records by day , started my own event and label with mates ‘The Vinyl Touch’ , started my long residency for Raindance and was a regular at most ‘Old Skool’ events around the county and in Europe.
Fast forward to 2020 and my passion for music, Djing and radio broadcasting continues with the originators Centreforce.
